The 'Ole Family Album
Here are some recent photos:
Here is a
picture of our cat, Sparky. Sparky is a stray we started feeding last
winter. He was a fairly regular visitor
but would also stay away for days at a time. It made us think that he must belong
to someone. Although he was a scrapper, he tended to get beaten up by other
cats in the woods. After a neighbor’s cat got sick and died from FIV
(feline AIDS), we decided that if someone else was feeding Sparky, they
weren’t taking care of him, so we took him in. Tests revealed our worst
fears, that Sparky has FIV himself, probably from fighting with infected wild
cats. We couldn’t bear to lose him and have had him neutered and immunized
for as much stuff as we can. He is very friendly and happy since joining our
family. He loves to chase his tail when he’s not in our face demanding
some attention. He is quite fond of chicken!

Did I mention that I am a BIG Lost in
Space fan? I guess I was at that age that I enjoyed Lost in Space more than
Star Trek when it originally came out. In April 1998 I got to go to the first
major LIS cast reunion in over ten years. It was held in
Here is a picture from July 1999 of our nieces Jessica

Here is a picture of our newest car. It is the super
cool 2003 Honda Element. I love that it is not round like a jelly bean like so
many cars are now. It is technically an SUV but it uses an efficient low
emission 4 cylinder engine and actually gets decent mileage.
When I was a kid, my favorite cartoon was Jonny Quest.
I remember how much I looked forward to it. After all these years, Jonny Quest
has just come out on DVD for the first time. Back in the 90s, I bought some
limited edition cold cast models of the main characters and spent a summer
assembling and painting it. It turned out pretty decent and I still admire it
in the den.
Finally, a few older pictures… This is one of
the few decent pictures of our wedding on
Ah, the great old college days! I think this was a
group of us playing in a Dungeons and Dragons tournament around 1978 (I seem to
remember that we won)
Back in the 70s there was a movie called the Rocky
Horror Picture Show. This was at one of the early
Finally, here is a picture of yours truly meeting his
buddy George Takei who played Mr. Sulu in the original Star Trek series at a
convention in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1979. See I did have hair at one
time!
That's all for now! (Last revision May 2004)
